FLUKT - "a soaring flight in an eclectic atmosphere of Norwegian folk music" made its New York City debut on September 9th at Scandinavia House on Park Avenue in Manhattan. This dynamic trio - Oivind Farmen on trekkspill (accordion), Håvard Sterten on drums and Sturla Eide on fiddle and hardangerfiddle - mesmerized the audience in the Victor Borge Auditorium with their off-beat on-beat blend of Norwegian folk music, with a superb musical and intelligent twist. With thanks to support from the Norwegian Consulate General, American-Scandianavian Foundation and the Walter Eriksson Memorial Fund, FLUKT´s debut of their new album "Drufiacc" was just what the doctor ordered. Drufiacc - Drums, Fiddle, Accordion -- wonderful medicine for music lovers´ souls.
FLUKT´s other appearances while on tour in the USA are the Scandinavian Folk Festival in Jamestown, New York; several stops in Wisconsin; Nordic Roots Festival in Minneapolis; and finally a concert with the Chicago Accordion Club. Visit
www.FLUKT.org for more info on these electrifying musicians from Norway and to order their brand new recording.
